The Client, Scanmarket, is a global provider of a user-friendly web-based platform for closed internet-based reverse auctions and RFx for professional buyers in large companies.

Challenge

Scanmarket eAuction application is a B2B solution which is intended to automate internal procedures and create efficiency in searching for supplier of different goods and services with best proposals taking into account terms of proposals, supplier characteristics, etc. Scanmarket eAuction tool was implemented in ASP platform, which was no longer satisfying customer needs. The new platform for the application was needed to make it more flexible. Also, Scanmarket wanted to extend and add new functionality to the application to make it more competitive.

Solution

VolgoTechnologies retail application development team suggested to convert the application to ASP.NET, which supports design and code separation and the usage of test-driven development. After the successful application revamp, VolgoTechnologies implemented new RFx functionality and questionnaire features which lets the Client measure customer experiences based on the provided answers. To support Scanmarket s internationalization and global marketing strategies, VolgoTechnologies introduced application support across the group of Asian languages.

The Client now offers the automated eAuction application which is way more scalable, comprehensive, and user-friendly compared to the previous tool.
